Job description:
Our client is actively seeking highly qualified candidates for a full-time position as Chief technology Officer for our growing IT outsourcing service company. The position will involve working in a team environment with both developers and marketing departments. Cross team interaction is required.
Responsibilities for the position are as follows:
- Building and leading a strong technology team, including developing, building and maintaining team.
- Establishing the company‘s technical vision and leading all aspects of the company‘s technology development;
- Working with business teams to build overall product strategy and product plans;
- Managing project schedule, quality and budget to ensure timely and high quality product delivery;
- Playing an integral role in the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth;
Requirements:
- A high degree of successful executive-level solution implementation expertise in IT environment
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that business people may understand
- A very broad range of technical expertise combined with a depth of knowledge in several specific industries, technology domains and/or solution areas
- A high degree of technical expertise across a variety of IT disciplines (applications, middleware, servers, storage, networking, hardware)
- Good business judgment, a comfortable, open communication style, and a willingness and ability to work with teams
- Ability to leverage and contribute to knowledge base of solutions and techniques; ability to shift from theoretical to pragmatic is essential
- Team leadership and the ability to listen and be perceptive of others are essential personality attributes as is a hands-on, high energy, can-do, highly collaborative style. He or she will regard capability building for customers, through teaching and learning, as integral to the role
- Experience in both detailed application/data/network architecture, and high level enterprise architecture
- This individual will be passionate about their area of expertise and be interested in a technical track as a long-term career objective. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of achievement, a willingness to work hard and perseverance to make things happen
Specific skills required:
- Experience of preparing and executing complex technology plans and/or deployments
- Professional services delivery management history
- History of successful mentoring and coaching of resources
- Minimum 10 years of combined industry and consulting experience
- Former CTO or Chief Architect or Business Architect or Partner/Associate Partner in a technology focused consulting practice
- Deep focus in an industry (preferred Service Provider or Public Sector) and/or horizontal solution area (ERP, CRM, SCM, IT Ops, etc)
- Ability to create and deliver customer workshops serving multiple stakeholders
- Flexibility to work with both marketing team and technology team.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively in English (written and oral).
- Candidates already residing in China are preferred.
- Experienced track record working with senior executives within Fortune 500 companies
- Experienced track record designing Service Provider Architectures in Fortune 500 companies
